App Reviews

Hi!  Today I'm going to be sharing some of my own reviews for the apps and social media platforms I have.  I got this idea from my friend BloggerA, whose blog you may view at imagination16.blogspot.com.

Facebook.  I got Facebook about a month ago.  In case you don't know, Facebook is a social media that allows you to post things and chat with your friends.  You get friends on Facebook by searching for someone you know in the search bar (AFTER you set up an account, of course) and click on them.  It will say near the top of that person's page "Add Friend" which will send them a friend request.  And if they accept, there you go!  You also get to select your own personal profile and cover photos, which will make your account personal.  You can also customize who sees your profiles and posts.  If you don't have a Facebook account already, I highly recommend getting one!

Pinterest.  Pinterest is an extraordinarily fun social media, app, whatever you want to call it.  It allows you to collect things you like onto boards that you create.  You get to choose your own profile picture and write a paragraph of up to 160 characters about yourself.  You can also follow people you know who have Pinterest.  You can also follow topics and single boards.  Pinterest is very fun, creative, excellent and convenient!

Skype.  Skype is a social media which involves a WebCam (a WebCam is a camera that attaches to your computer and allows you to video call.  Many electronic devices have these built in.  Skype is a social media that allows you to video call people near and far, but you can only call people in your contacts, of course.  You can also just chat regularly with your friends by typing to chat.  I use it mainly to chat with missionary friends in Senegal.  Skype is excellent in so many ways!

Pandora.  Pandora is a music app that allows you to, of course, listen to music online.  You make an account and then begin to create albums.  You can select your favorite genres and artists and make albums out of them.  When you listen to an album that you've made, it will play songs from several different artists but it will all be the same genre.

Tidido.  Tidido is like Pandora, in that it plays online music.  On Tidido, after you make an account, you search for one of your favorite artists in the search box.  Not only can you listen to just one of their songs online, but their entire albums as well!

Grammarly.  Grammarly is a wonderful grammar app that you install in your web browser.  For browsers I use Mozilla Firefox and Internet explorer - I have installed Grammarly in Firefox.  The whole purpose of this app is to catch errors you type while writing something online.  When you're writing any place on the Internet, Grammarly will automatically catch any errors you make online.  I am using Grammarly the very minute this is being typed.

Evernote.  I first discovered Evernote when a friend told me about it.  It's an writing app which requires you to make an account before you begin anything.  After you've joined, you can write things, save and edit them on this wonderful app.  I don't use it very often, but I highly recommend it for professional writers or those who enjoy writing.

Blogger.  Blogger (also called Blogspot) is the platform on which you are reading this blog right now.  For those of you who don't have an account, the whole purpose is to write posts and share them with the world.  If you've been wanting to start a blog but haven't yet, I highly recommend Blogger!

I believe that's all for the social medias and apps.  Please note that these were intended to be brief descriptions and that I am not posting tutorials on how to use these things.  These networks are all free.  If you think I should post more or less about one of these certain networks, please comment on this post or send me a message via the contact form. Thank you!
