Please Feel Free to Comment!

Hi everyone.  I haven't been getting many comments on Everything Imaginable! lately so please feel free to comment as much as you'd like.  I will do the same to those of you I know ~ I will publish a comment or two on your blog.  I'm not asking for publicity, I'm just wondering if you like what I'm posting.  Also, if you don't find much interest in what I share, feel free to leave any suggestions in the comments.  Also, you don't have to know me to comment.  As long as things are appropriately said I don't care who comments, as long as nothing offensive is being said.  I do not want the actions of using God's name in vain, insulting, swearing, slandering, unkindness or taking advantage of the fact that you are able to comment on this blog.  Just please keep that in kind and leave a comment or two.  Thank you! ~ tigerowner79

Bible Passage of the Day

"May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble!  May the name of the God of Jacob protect you!  May He send you help from the sanctuary and give you support from Zion!  May He remember all your offerings and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices!  May He grant you your heart's desire and fulfill all your plans!  May we shout for joy over Your salvation, and in the name of our God set up our banners!  May the Lord fulfill all your petitions!  Now I know that the Lord saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving might of His right hand.  Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.  They collapse and fall, but we rise and stand upright.  O Lord, save the king!  May He answer us when we call." ~ Psalm 20:1-9 ESV

Thank you!

I would like to thank all of my blog readers for so actively reading Everything Imaginable!  However, since I had my blog as my homepage for awhile on the Internet, which was a mistake, that probably gave the page a few hundred views right there.  Today, Everything Imaginable! received its 700th view.  Thanks, readers, for your attention and comments on my blog.  I will continue to entertain you with a post or two a day.  Have a great night!

A Belated Thanksgiving

So when Thanksgiving Day rolls around, you think about all the good turkey, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie you'll enjoy later on, right?  Also looking forward to spending time with your family and any guests or relatives that you may have over?  You're thinking that you will enjoy its holiday to its fullest.  But then, what if it's....cancelled?

This past week, both my grandfather and my grandmother have been sick with a virus that's been going around.  Thinking that it would only last for a few days, our family still discussed plans for our annual Thanksgiving celebration at my grandparents' house.  Well, I wake up at 7:30am on Thursday morning and later discovered that our celebration was being called off.  My grandparents were still sick.  However, we refused to actually cancel our celebration.  No, the family would never hear of it.  Rather, it was postponed.  And sure enough, right now as I'm writing this post, I'm sitting in one of my grandparents' two living rooms listening to the adults' chatter upstairs.  I have two cousins and my sister in the same room.  I very rarely find much interest in what the adults are talking about (is that normal for a 13-year-old?) so most of the time us kids have our own "circle time" in the family room downstairs while the adults chatter in the one upstairs.

So yes, our family gathering was put off ~ but hey, who could have controlled it?  Even though our gathering was belated by four days, we still had a good dinner of turkey; mashed and sweet potatoes; peas; gravy; stuffing; rolls; pearl onions; cranberry sauce; olives; celery; pickles; pumpkin, apple and mincemeat pies; pumpkin bread; and cranberry bars.  And very soon we'll be having a dinner, whether of today's leftovers or sandwiches ~ I don't know (And yes, I was odd enough to list every single thing included in our meal).  So, if your holiday celebrations are sometimes postponed because of illness, injury, unexpected events or whatever, it doesn't mean that your belated celebration will be less exciting and joyful than if you had had it on the actual day.

Bible Passage of the Day

"The heavens declare the glory of God, and the sky above proclaims His handiwork.  Day to day pours out speech, and night to night reveals knowledge.  There is no speech, nor are there words, whose voice is not heard.  Their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world.  In them He has set a tent for the sun, which comes out like a bridegroom leaving his chamber, and, like a strong man, runs its course with joy.  Its rising is from the end of the heavens, and its circuit to the end of them, and there is nothing hidden from its heat.  The law of the Lord is perfect, reviving the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple; the precepts of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart; the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes; the fear of the Lord is clean, enduring forever; the rules of the Lord are true, and righteous altogether.  More to be desired are they than gold, even much fine gold; sweeter also than honey and drippings of the honeycomb.  Moreover, by then is Your servant warned; in keeping them there is great reward.  Who can discern his errors?  Declare me innocent from hidden faults.  Keep back Your servant also from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me!  Then I shall be blameless, and innocent of great transgression.  Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer." ~ Psalm 19:1-14 ESV

An Everything Imaginable! Update

Hi everyone!  So, as you've probably noticed, I have added a couple of new gadgets to my blog.  They are the number of pageviews and a "follow by e-mail" spot.  When I viewed the blog now it was 676 views, but part of that is because I had my blog set as my hompage on the Internet until a few days ago, so that added a few hundred views right there.  Once I discovered it was adding views to my record I changed my homepage.  So, anyway, feel free to follow me!

Verse of the Day

"I love You, O Lord, my strength.  The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.  I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies.  The cords of death encompassed me; the torrents of destruction assailed me; the cords of Sheol entangled me; the snares of death confronted me.  In my distress I called upon the Lord; to my God I cried for help.  From His temple He heard my voice, and my cry to Him reached His ears.  Then the earth reeled and rocked; the foundations also of the mountains trembled and quaked, because He was angry.  Smoke went up from His nostrils, and devouring fire from His mouth; glowing coals flamed forth from Him.  He bowed the heavens and came down; thick darkness was under His feet.  He rode on a cherub and flew; He came swiftly on the wings of the wind.  He made darkness His covering, His canopy around Him, thick clouds dark with water.  Out of the brightness before Him hailstones and coals of fire broke through His clouds.  The Lord also thundered in the heavens, and the Most High uttered His voice, hailstones and coals of fire.  And He sent out His arrows and scattered them; He flashed forth lightnings and routed them.  Then the channels of the sea were seen, and the foundations of the world were laid bare at Your rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of your nostrils.  He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.  He rescued me from my strong enemy and from those who hated me, for they were too mighty for me.  They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my support.  He brought me out into a broad place; He rescued me, because He delighted in me.  The Lord dealt with me according to my righteousness; according to the cleanness of my hands He rewarded me.  For I have kept the ways of the Lord, and have not wickedly departed from my God.  For all His rules were before me, and His statutes I did not put away from me.  I was blameless before Him, and I kept myself from my guilt.  So the Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in His sight.  With the merciful You show Yourself merciful; with the blameless man You show Yourself blameless; with the purified You show Yourself pure; and with the crooked You make Yourself seem tortuous.  For You save a humble people, but the haughty eyes You bring down.  For it is You Who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness.  For by You I can run against a troop, and by my God I can leap over a wall.  This God--His way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; He is a shield for all those who take refuge in Him.  For who is God, but the Lord?  And who is a rock, except our God?--the God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless.  He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights.  He trains my hand for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze.  You have given me the shield of Your salvation, and Your right hand supported me, and Your gentleness made me great.  You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip.  I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and did not turn back till they were consumed.  I thrust them through, so that they were not able to rise; they fell under my feet.  For You equipped me with strength for the battle; You made those who rise against me sink under me.  You made my enemies turn their backs to me, and those who hated me I destroyed.  They cried for help, but there was none to save; they cried to the Lord, but He did not answer them.  I beat them fine as dust before the wind; I cast them out like the mire of the streets.  You delivered me from strife with the people; You made me the head of the nations; people whom I had not known served me.  As soon as they heard of me they obeyed me; foreigners came cringing to me.  Foreigners lost heart and came trembling out of their fortresses.  The Lord lives, and blessed be my rock, and exalted be the God of my salvation--the God who gave me vengeance and subdued peoples under me, who delivered me from my enemies; yes, You exalted me above those who rose against me; You rescued me from the man of violence.  For this I will praise You, O Lord, among the nations, and sing to Your name.  Great salvation He brings to His king, and shows steadfast love to His anointed, to David and his offspring forever." ~ Psalm 18:1-50 ESV

Verse of the Day

"Hear a just cause, O Lord; attend to my cry!  Give ear to my prayer from lips free of deceit!  From Your presence let my vindication come!  Let Your eyes behold the right!  You have tried my heart, You have visited me by night, You have tested me, and You will find nothing; I have purposed that my mouth will not transgress.  With regard to the works of man, by the word of Your lips I have avoided the ways of the violent.  My steps have held fast to Your paths; my feet have not slipped.  I call upon You, for You will answer me, O God; incline Your ear to me; hear my words.  Wondrously show Your steadfast love, O Savior of those who seek refuge from their adversaries at Your right hand.  Keep me as the apple of Your eye; hide me in the shadow of Your wings, from the wicked who do me violence, my deadly enemies who surround me.  They close their hearts to pity; with their mouths they speak arrogantly.  They have now surrounded our steps; they set their eyes to cast us to the ground.  He is like a lion eager to tear, as a young lion lurking in ambush.  Arise, O Lord!  Confront him, subdue him!  Deliver my soul from the wicked by Your sword, from men by Your hand, O Lord, from men of the world whose portion is in this life.  You fill their womb with treasure; they are satisfied with children, and they leave their abundance to their infants.  As for me, I shall behold Your face in righteousness; when I awake, I shall me satisfied with Your likeness." ~ Psalm 17:1-15 ESV

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving, blog readers!  How are you enjoying your day?  Are you being thankful for what you have?  Are you counting your blessings?  I've heard this a lot lately, "What if you woke up one morning and you only had the things that you had thanked God for the day before?"  The truth is, we often take some of the things we have for granted.  Let's make sure that today, though, and every day of our lives, that we are thankful and don't take anything we have for granted.  Again, have a Happy Thanksgiving!

Verse of the Day

"Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever.  Give thanks to the God of gods, for His steadfast love endures forever.  Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for His steadfast love endures forever; to Him who alone does great wonders, for His steadfast love endures forever; to Him Who by understanding made the heaves, for His steadfast love endures forever; to Him Who spread out the earth above the waters, for His steadfast love endures forever; to Him Who made the great lights, for His steadfast love endures forever; the sun to rule over the day, for His steadfast love endures forever; the moon and stars to rule over the night, for His steadfast love endures forever; to Him Who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, for His steadfast love endures forever; and brought Israel out from among them, for His steadfast love endures forever; with a strong hand and an outstretched arm, for His steadfast love endures forever; to Him Who divided the Red Sea in two, for His steadfast love endures forever; and made Israel pass through the midst of it, for His steadfast love endures forever; but overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea, for His steadfast love endures forever; to Him Who led His people through the wilderness, for His steadfast love endures forever; to Him Who struck down great kings, for His steadfast love endures forever; and killed mighty kings, for His steadfast love endures forever; Sihon, king of the Amorites, for His steadfast love endures forever; and Og, king of Bashan, for His steadfast love endures forever; and gave their land as a heritage, for His steadfast love endures forever; a heritage to Israel His servant, for His steadfast love endures forever.  It is He Who remembered us in our low estate, for His steadfast love endures forever; and rescued us from our foes, for His steadfast love endures forever; He Who gives food to all flesh, for His steadfast love endures forever.  Give thanks to the God of Heaven, for His steadfast love endures forever." ~ Psalm 136:1-26 ESV

And yes, I decided to break away from sharing all of the Psalms in order since Psalm 136 is all about giving thanks.  And what holiday is today?  Thanksgiving ~ the holiday especially meant to be thankful.  Today was supposed to be Psalm 17, but that will come tomorrow.  One thing that I find very strange and disturbing is that today is Thanksgiving, but tomorrow, many people will be spending their day shopping for more things on Black Friday!  Why would you want to have that day follow a day about being thankful for what you do have?  So let's be sure to be thankful for what we do have today, and hopefully for all the days to come without taking the things we do have for granted.

Verse of the Day

"Preserve me, O God, for in You I take refuge.  I say to the Lord, 'You are my Lord; I have no good apart from You.'  As for the saints in the land, they are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.  The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply; their drink offerings of blood I will not pour out or take their names on my lips.  The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; You hold my lot.  The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance.  I bless the Lord Who gives me counsel; in the night also my heart instructs me.  I have set the Lord always before me; because He is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.  Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices; my flesh also dwells secure.  For You will not abandon my soul to Sheol, or let Your holy one see corruption.  You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore." ~ Psalm 16:1-11 ESV

Verse of the Day

"O Lord, who shall sojourn in Your tent?  Who shall dwell on Your holy hill?  He who walks blamelessly and does what is right and speaks truth in his heart; who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend; in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the Lord; who swears to his own hurt and does not change; who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent.  He who does these things shall never be moved." ~ Psalm 15:1-5 ESV

Operation Christmas Child

So, this year, our state filled and is shipping tomorrow 9,287 shoeboxes filled with school supplies, hygiene items, toys, and other things to needy areas of the world where children will receive them at a later time.  Each shoebox usually affects at least 9 people, which means that at least 83,583 people will be affected by the shoeboxes this small state collected.  That's only 713 shoeboxes short of our goal of 10,000!  This is including the deliveries of several relay centers.  What a blessing these shoeboxes will be to so many people in so many ways!

My Other Blog

Yesterday I made another blog!  However, it's not only my blog ~ my two friends Anna and Jillian, my sister Sarah and myself are working on our second shipment of Bibles to Africa, and just today we decided on a final name.  The name is in memory of someone who went to my church who suddenly passed away last year.  He was a strong believer in the Christian faith and shipped Bibles just like we're doing.  He lived his life to the fullest.  So please check out our blog at ~

themrbuckleymemorialbiblemission4.blogspot.com

Yes, I know it's long, but it's okay.  Anna and Jillian, as of right now, do not wish to post anything on this blog, so any posts that will be published will be written by me or, once I add her, my sister.  Again, please check out the blog and I hope you enjoy what you see!

Daily Bible Verse

"The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'  They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds, there is none who does good.  The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.  They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.  Have they no knowledge, all the evildoers who eat up my people as they eat bread and do not call upon the Lord?  There they are in great terror, for God is with the generation of the righteous.  You would shame the plans of the poor, but the Lord is his refuge.  Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion!  When the Lord restores the fortunes of His people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad." ~ Psalm 14:1-7 ESV

Daily Bible Verse

"How long, O Lord?  Will You forget me forever?  How long will You hide Your face from me?  How long must I take counsel in my soul and have sorrow in my heart all the day?  How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?  Consider and answer me, O Lord my God; light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death, lest my enemy say, 'I have prevailed over him,' lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.  But I have trusted in Your steadfast love; my heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.  I will sing to the Lord, because He has dealt bountifully with me." ~ Psalm 13:1-6 ESV

ManiCURE for Leukemia

ManiCURE for Leukemia is a blog run by four girls that I know.  As you can probably tell by the name, it's for a good cause.  They are hoping to raise money to help those with leukemia, and their first goal is $100.  Their first business session was on Thursday evening and they raised $12 just then.  They paint nails and sell bracelets for great prices, accepting donations as well.  What they're doing is such a good cause.  Even if not everyone who views their blog becomes a customer, they still need publicity.  So I would encourage you to visit their blog at leukfight34.blogspot.com.

Daily Bible Verse

"Save, O Lord, for the godly one is gone; for the faithful have vanished from among the children of man.  Everyone utters lies to his neighbor; with flattering lips and a double heart they speak.  May the Lord cut off all flattering lips, the tongue that makes great boasts, those who say, "With our tongue we will prevail, our lips are with us; who is master over us?"  "Because the poor are plundered, because the needy groan, I will now arise," says the Lord; "I will place him in the safety for which he longs."  The words of the Lord are pure words, like silver refined in a furnace on the ground, purified seven times.  You, O Lord, will keep them; You will guard us from this generation forever.  On every side the wicked prowl, as vileness is exalted among the children of man." ~ Psalm 12:1-8 ESV

How Much Social Media and Technology?

In these days, it seems as if our world is being overthrown with technology and social media.  A few decades ago, what we now see on TV was broadcast over the radio.  130 years ago, people used horses as their transportation rather than the modern Honda Civic or Ford F-150.

Over such little time, our world has developed a lot of modern technology.  Smartphones and iPhones, iPads and iPods, tablets, flatscreen TVs and the modern household computer did not exist 30-40 years ago.

Yet, how did the society do it?  Flatscreens, cell phones and computers are not necessary to get through life.  20 years ago, the popular and world-famous Facebook had not yet been mentioned.  Yes, these things can be quite helpful, but many of us tend to really overuse them and abuse our privileges of owning them.  Now, I will take a random year: 1880.  Now, in 1880 absolutely none of what I've mentioned existed.  All except for the radio.  People got through life just fine and many lived into their 80's or 90's.  And none of today's technology was used as of 1880.

So, if people who lived 135 years ago could get through life without some of the things that we have today, why can't we?  We can still use it, but hopefully not enough to distract us from church, God, family and other things.  This is often the case today.  Our lives do not revolve around technology.  We can get through life without wasting all of our spare time on it.  The use of technology is often one of the worst issues in my house, and I strive to stop it at least on my part.  So, if the use of technology is an issue with all of us, why can't we all do the same?

Daily Bible Verse

"In the Lord I take refuge; how can you say to my soul, 'Flee like a bird to your mountain, for behold, the wicked bend the bow; they have fitted their arrow to the string to shoot in the dark at the upright in heart; if the foundations are destroyed, what can the righteous do?'  The Lord is in His holy temple; the Lord's throne is in Heaven; His eyes see, His eyelids test the children of man.  The Lord tests the righteous, but His soul hates the wicked and the one who loves violence.  Let Him rain coals on the wicked; fire and sulfur and a scorching wind shall be the portion of their cup.  For the Lord is righteous; He loves righteous deeds; the upright shall behold His face." ~ Psalm 11:1-7 ESV

Blog Advertisement!

I have a group of four friends who just the other day started a blog together.  It's not just a personal blog ~ it's for a good cause.  They have a fundraiser to help those with leukemia, and you can find out more about what they're doing.  Their address is ~

Daily Bible Verse

"Why, O Lord, do You stand far away?  Why do You hide Yourself in times of trouble?  In arrogance the wicked hotly pursue the poor; let them be caught in the schemes that they have devised.  For the wicked boasts of the desires of his soul, and the one greedy for gain curses and renounces the Lord.  In the pride of his face the wicked does not seek Him; all his thoughts are, 'There is no God.'  His ways prosper at all times; Your judgments are on high, out of his sight; as for all his foes, he puffs at them.  He says in his heart, 'I shall not be moved; throughout all generations I shall not meet adversity.'  His mouth is filled with cursing and deceit and oppression; under his tongue are mischief and iniquity.  He sits in ambush in the villages; in hiding places he murders the innocent.  His eyes stealthily watch for the helpless; he lurks in ambush like a lion in his thicket; he lurks that he may seize the poor; he seizes the poor when he draws them into his net.  The helpless are crushed, sink down, and fall by his might.  He says in his heart, 'God has forgotten, He has hidden His face, He will never see it.'  Arise, O Lord; O God, lift up Your hand; forget not the afflicted.  Why does the wicked renounce God and say in his heart, 'You will not call to account'?  But You do see, for You note mischief and vexation, that You may take it into Your hands; to You the helpless commits himself; You have been the Helper of the fatherless.  Break the arm of the wicked and evildoer; call his wickedness to account until You find none.  The Lord is King forever and ever; the nations perish from His land.  O Lord, You hear the desire of the afflicted; You will strengthen their heart; You will incline Your ear to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed, so that man who is of the earth may strike terror no more." ~ Psalm 10:1-18 ESV

Daily Bible Verse

"I will give thanks to the Lord with my whole heart; I will recount all of Your wonderful deeds.  I will be glad and exult in You; I will sing praise to Your Name, O Most High.  When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish before Your presence.  For You have maintained my just cause; You have sat on the throne, giving righteous judgment.  You have rebuked the nations; You have made the wicked perish; You have blotted out their name forever and ever.  The enemy came to an end in everlasting ruins; their cities You rooted out; the very memory of them has perished.  But the Lord sits enthroned forever; He has established His throne for justice, and He judges the world with righteousness; He judges the peoples with uprightness.  The Lord is a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of trouble.  And those who know Your Name put their trust in You, for You, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.  Sing praises to the Lord, Who sits enthroned in Zion!  Tell among the peoples His deeds!  For He Who avenges blood is mindful of them; He does not forget the cry of the afflicted.  Be gracious to me, O Lord!  See my affliction from those who hate me, O You Who lift me up from the gates of death, that I may recount all Your praises, that in the gates of the daughter of Zion, I may rejoice in Your salvation.  The nations have sunk in the pit that they made; in the net that they hid, their own foot has been caught.  The Lord has made Himself known; He has executed judgment; the wicked are snared in the work of their own hands.  The wicked shall return to Sheol, all the nations that forget God.  For the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the hope of the poor shall not perish forever.  Arise, O Lord!  Let not man prevail; let the nations be judged before You!  Put them in fear, O Lord!  Let the nations know that they are but men!" ~ Psalm 9:1-20 ESV

Daily Bible Verse

"O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your Name in all the earth!  You have set Your glory above the heavens.  Out of the mouth of babies and infants, You have established strength because of Your foes, to still the enemy and the avenger.  When I look at Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have set in place, what is man that You are mindful of him, and the son of man that You care for him?  Yet You have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor.  You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas.  O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is Your Name in all the earth!" ~ Psalm 8:1-9 ESV

I've Run Out of Ideas!

Okay, so when I first opened up this blog 9 days ago, I had plenty of ideas of what to post on this blog.  And just now, when I discovered I hadn't gotten any comments in awhile, I also discovered that the majority of what I've been posting has been the daily Bible verses.  So, if you have any suggestions of what to post, please leave your thoughts in the comments.

Daily Bible Verse

"O Lord my God, in You do I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers and deliver me, lest a lion they tear my soul apart, rending it to pieces, with none to deliver.  O Lord my God, if I have done this, if there is wrong in my hands, if I have repaid my friend with evil or plundered my enemy without cause, let the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it, and let him trample my life to the ground and lay my glory in the dust.  Arise, O Lord, in Your anger; lift Yourself up against the fury of my enemies; awake for me; You have appointed a judgment.  Let the assembly of the peoples be gathered about You; over it return on high.  The Lord judges the peoples; judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness and according to the integrity that is in me.  Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end, and may you establish the righteous ~ You who test the minds and hearts, O righteous God!  My shield is with God, Who saves the upright in heart.  God is a righteous Judge, and a God who feels indignation every day.  If a man does not repent, God will whet His sword; He has bent and readied His bow; He has prepared for him His deadly weapons, making His arrows fiery shafts.  Behold, the wicked man conceives evil and is pregnant with mischief and gives birth to lies.  He makes a pit, digging it out, and falls into the hole that he has made.  His mischief returns upon his own head, and on his own skull his violence descends.  I will give to the Lord the thanks due to His righteousness, and I will sing praise to the Name of the Lord, the Most High." ~ Psalm 7:1-17 ESV

October's Delight

Yes, I know ~ Halloween was 15 days ago.  However, there's this one recipe very suitable for a Halloween treat ~ it's also a good way to use some extra candy from trick-or-treating.  I myself stopped trick-or-treating in 2009, but candy is still the same to me.  This is a recipe I made up.  I haven't yet tried it, but hey ~ how bad could pre-made candy possibly get?  This recipe I called "October's Delight".  It's very simple and can use pretty much any kind of candy ~ preferably chocolate ~ that you have!  This recipe lets you choose the amount and kinds of candy yourself.

Candy of your choosing
Whipped cream
Chopped nuts, optional

Mix candies together in large container; unwrap if necessary.  Serve with whipped cream.  For a major variation, melt your chocolate and then pour the mixture into 9x13 pan, letting candy cool before serving.  These bars may be hard to cut, but they'd be tasty.  In either mixture, you could add chopped nuts if you wanted to ~ though I'd probably leave those out.  Serve with whipped cream if desired.

Yes, I think I may be posting recipes more frequently on my blog.  When I do so, I will also give the name of the cookbook that I found it in so that you can browse that cookbook for more good and tasty recipes!  If it's just a recipe card, I will tell who I got the recipe from.  I will not mention names; just what kind of a relationship I have with that person ~ relative, friend, etc.  I will never, ever post anyone's full name on this blog ~ except the ones that are famous, like George Washington and everything.

All right, this post is done.  I know it seemed like it was several random topics piecing together at the end, but I'm done for now.  Good night, blog readers ~ and remember to look for tomorrow's daily Bible verse in the morning!

"O Lord, rebuke me not in Your anger, nor discipline me in Your wrath.  Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing; heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.  My soul also is greatly troubled.  But You, O Lord ~ how long?  Turn, O Lord, deliver my life; save me for the sake of Your steadfast love.  For in death there is no remembrance of You; in Sheol who will give You praise?  I am weary with my moaning; every night I flood my bed with tears; I drench my couch with my weeping.  The Lord has heard my plea; the Lord accepts my prayer.  All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly troubled; they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment." ~ Psalm 6:1-10

Daily Bible Verse

"Give ear to my words, O Lord; consider my groaning.  Give attention to the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to You do I pray.  O Lord, in the morning You hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for You and watch.  For you are not a God who delights in wickedness; evil may not dwell with you.  The boastful shall not stand before your eyes; you hate all evildoers.  You destroy those who speak lies; the Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.  But I, through the abundance of Your steadfast love, will enter your house.  I will bow down toward Your holy temple in the fear of You.  Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way straight before me.  For there is no truth in their mouth; their inmost self is destruction; their throat is an open grave; they flatter with their tongue.  Make them bear their guilt, O God; let them fall by their own counsels; because of the abundance of their transgressions cast them out, for they have rebelled against You.  But let all who take refuge in You rejoice; let them ever sing for joy, and spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your name may exult in You.  For You bless the righteous, O Lord; You cover him with favor as with a shield." ~ Psalm 5:1-12

And yes, I decided to change my blogging name to "tigerowner79".  I am the owner of a tiger cat, and the "79" is really just a random number.  Thank you, blog readers, for reading today's Bible verse.  Keep watch for more things I share with you on this blog!

Operation Christmas Child

Operation Christmas Child is a non-profit Christian organization that ministers to children in needy areas of the world.  People can pack shoeboxes filled with toys, school supplies, etc. and then deliver them to their state collection or relay center.  Both regular shoeboxes or special Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes ~ which may be found at your church ~ are acceptable in which to pack your things.  The national collection week is November 16-23.  Even though it's really close, it's not too late.  Be a missionary!  Find out where your local collection or relay center is, and pack a shoebox today!

*My church is our state collection center, and this year my mother is in charge of the collection.  That's why I just so suddenly made this post ~ there's a lot of talk about Operation Christmas Child around my house, so it's kind of been on my mind for awhile!  For more information, go to www.samaritanspurse.org/occ

I don't read a few of these for the most part, but I do occasionally and would still like to recommend them to you.  So check out the blogs and I hope you enjoy what you see!

New Punctuation

So, as you've probably been noticing, in most of my posts when hyphens are required, they look a bit different than the normal hyphen.  I've been using the hyphen "~" instead of the hyphen "-".  I just thought it would look more interesting and would add to the style of this blog.  Ever since my sister showed me where it was on my keyboard, I've been using it sometimes.  I know this seems like a random post, but I decided to give you that fact just in case you were wondering.

Daily Bible Verse

"Answer me when I call, O God of my righteousness!  You have given me relief when I was in distress.  Be gracious to me and hear my prayer!  O men, how long shall my honor be turned into shame?  How long will you love vain words and seek after lies?  But know that the Lord has set apart the godly for himself; the Lord hears when I call to him.  Be angry, and do not sin; ponder in your own hearts on your beds, and be silent.  Offer right sacrifices, and put your trust in the Lord.  There are many who say, 'Who will show us some good?  Lift up the light of Your face upon us, O Lord!'  You have put more joy in my heart than they have when their grain and wine abound.  In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety." ~ Psalm 4:1-8 ESV

Daily Bible Verse

"O Lord, how many are my foes!  Many are rising against me; many are saying of my soul, there is no salvation for him in God.  But You, O Lord, are a shield about me, my glory, and the lifter of my head.  I cried aloud to the Lord, and He answered me from His holy hill.  I lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.  I will not be afraid of many thousands of people who have set themselves against me all around.  Arise, O Lord!  Save me, O my God!  For you strike all my enemies on the cheek; you break the teeth of the wicked.  Salvation belongs to the Lord; your blessing be on your people!" ~ Psalm 3:1-8 ESV

Happy Veterans' Day!

Happy Veterans' Day, blog readers!  How has your day been so far?  I started the day with watching a local parade (and yes, I remembered that big flag I told you about), and now I'm at my grandparents' house for a family gathering.  It was supposed to rain in my area, but thankfully it didn't.  Have a great Veterans' Day, blog readers!

Daily Bible Verse

"Why do the nations rage and the peoples plot in vain?  The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying, 'Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.'  He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision.  Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, 'As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.'  I will tell of the decree: the Lord said to me, 'You are my Son, today I have begotten you.  Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession.  You shall break them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.'  Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth.  Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling.  Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled.  Blessed are all who take refuge in him." ~ Psalm 2:1-12 ESV

My New Template

Just so my readers know, I know that my blog template may look a bit girly....but I thought it was appropriate due to its background.  Leaves are falling everywhere and, until they were taken care of the other day, I couldn't even see my dirt driveway because it was covered with leaves.  So, if you think my template seems a bit girly, I would possibly agree.  However, it seems to me that it's the perfect one for this season!

My Tenth Post!

Oh my goodness, in the two days I've been blogging I never stopped to think that I posted my ninth post just a couple of hours ago!  I didn't really have anything in mind to post, but I just decided I would post a tenth post just to make that achievement.  I made my first blog post at 4:37 on Sunday afternoon, so, technically it hasn't even been two days.  Thank you, all you blog readers, for your attention, comments and just your presence on this blog.  When you read this blog, it's a big part of making me a joyful blogger.  So, again, a big thank you!

Funny funny funny!

Hi everyone!  Here are a couple of funny cat pictures I've found online.  Having a cat as a pet myself, as you can probably tell from my profile picture, I find cats pretty amusing at times.  My cat is only a couple of years old, in comparison to my other cat who was at least 17 when she died in 2013.  So, here they are!  I hope you enjoy them!

To the first one, I would so love adding these words: "Because I ate him last night."  LOL!  I hope you enjoyed these pictures.  Have a great day, blog readers!

Daily Bible Verse

"Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on His law he meditates day and night.  He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither.  In all that he does, he prospers.  The wicked are not so, but are like chaff that the wind drives away.  Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous; for the Lord knows the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish." ~ Psalm 1:1-6 ESV

"I Pledge Allegiance to the Flag"

"I pledge Allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all." ~ The American Pledge of Allegiance

Soon we enter into Veterans' Day.  It's a great time for parades and celebration, but the real meaning of this holiday is to honor and remember the veterans, many of which gave their lives to gain the liberty we have today.  I have a nice large American flag, and on Wednesday I am watching a local parade.  I am bringing the flag with me, as I have been doing for every Memorial Day and Veterans' Day since 2013.  I don't do this to show off, but rather to signify my appreciation for the veterans.  These people are people that all Americans should show appreciation for.  Do you do the same?

2 Days Until....

Veterans' Day!  That's right, there are only two days left until Veterans' Day.  If you celebrate this holiday, how do you celebrate it?  Do you watch a local parade like I do?  If the weather is the same as it would be on Memorial Day, do you have a cookout?  I know cookouts are a little late for November, but I'm just asking.

Despite whether we celebrate Veterans' Day or not, and how we celebrate it, the real meaning of Veterans' Day is to honor and remember the veterans who fought for our country to gain some of the freedoms we have now.  Do you remember those veterans on Veterans' Day?

A Hilarious Thanksgiving

So, since Thanksgiving Day is only 17 days away, I thought I would post this funny picture I found online:

Note: The picture is not mine - credits of Google.com.  This is so funny that I thought I'd post it, especially since Thanksgiving is getting closer with every second!  Thanks for reading everyone, and keep watch for more posts like this one!

Daily Bible Verse

"And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose." ~ Romans 8:28 ESV

What this verse tells us is that no matter how bad things are in life, it all works together for good.  That is, it will all work together for good if you are in the faith, believing in and following the Lord.

Stunning Scenery!

We all must agree that nature has plenty of beautiful scenes.  It's so wonderful to find photographs of this scenery and actually gaze at it in person.  God created everything, and the beautiful nature scenes are certainly something to appreciate!  Here's a really nice picture I found:

Note: The picture is not mine.  Now, I would totally love waking up to this every morning!  I am, however, content waking up to what I wake up to every morning.  This isn't a bad picture, but neither do I dislike the views I have from my own home.

Daily Bible Verse

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105 ESV)

As a Christian, I desire to post on my blog Bible verses, so that should anyone come across this blog who does not believe in the Lord, that they may.  Jesus Christ, our Lord, died a long time ago on a cross to save us from our sins.  Sins are "anything we think, say or do that breaks God's law and makes Him sad."  For example, disobedience would be a sin.  No one can see our Lord Jesus Christ, our Savior, but if we accept Him into our hearts and strive to follow him, we will see Him one day in Heaven.  There is a day coming when we will stand before the Lord our God in judgment.  Once we enter into judgment, there is no second chance.  If we have not accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as our Savior, and Judgment Day comes and it still hasn't happened, there is no second chance.  This is something everyone, including me, should keep in mind as we go through with our daily life.

Welcome!

Hi everyone.  Thank you for reading Everything Imaginable!  I may not post every day but will try to keep you entertained with posts on numerous topics.  Please feel free to express your thoughts in the comments.  Thank you! ~Chandler S.
